The Vaisala BAROCAP® barometer PTB110 is designed for accurate pressure measurements at room temperature as well as general ambient pressure monitoring over a wide temperature range. The compact PTB110 is suitable for environmental pressure monitoring, data buoys, laser interferometers, and agricultural and hydrological applications. Because of its very low power consumption, the barometer is particularly suitable for different data logger applications.

Long-term stability of barometers

The PTB110 barometer uses the Vysala BAROCAP® sensor, a silicon capacitive absolute pressure sensor developed by Vysala for atmospheric pressure measurement applications. The sensor combines excellent elastic properties with a proven capacitive principle for detecting the mechanical stability of monocrystalline silicon.

Accuracy and stability

The good stability of the barometer reduces the fine tuning required for different applications such as environmental pressure monitoring, data buoys, laser interferometer fields, agriculture and hydrology.

Low power consumption

The PTB110 suite is suitable for data logging applications due to its low power consumption. External on/off controls are also available. This function is necessary when the power supply is limited.
